A Life Less Ordinary...

The thing that I love about being a modern day woman, is that we have choices.  60 years ago, a woman could be few things; a teacher, a secretary (albeit a smokin' hot secretary - a la Joanie Holloway) and then ultimately a wife and mother. Today, women can do whatever they choose. I love that I can lead a pinup life, without the opression, and the narrow mindedness of an old fashioned society. Here are some of the reasons I love living in 2012, but still love hanging onto 1952.

Sabina Kelley - the modern day pinup is free to have as many tattoos as she has room for!

Angelique Noire - Here's something you never would have seen in the 50s.

Mary-Louise Parker's character on Weeds is very industrious indeed!

Desperate Housewives - Not your average 1950s housewives!

Christina Hendricks - Even in Mad Men, Joanie struggles with her role in society.

Dita Von Teese - The ultimate modern Pinup!

Little old me, loving the glamour of the 50s, living the 21st century life!
